Christian 'Seto' Rosenkreuz

I have never finished "Duelist of the Roses", and I have only played against very few opponents from the game, but the idea of Kaiba's Middle Age reincarnation being a Rose Crusader, i.e. a knight (at least I think he must be a knight), is one that I like very much and since I haven't found many images of this character, I decided to do one.

I took some liberties with the outfit keeping the parts of the armor I like, redesiging the ones I don't like and designing the ones that are not shown in the official artwork (and in the end thinking I could've done better, since it looks like some scrapped design for a cloth from Saint Seiya XD). Choosing a color for the horse was a little hard. While at first I thought it should be white (Blue-Eyes WHITE Dragon, right?) I opted for a darker color to contrast with it's armor (like Rosenkreuz's outfit).

While I'm happy with the final result, I can't say the same about some parts. For instance the proportions of both the leg and the horse. I had never drawn a horse before, let alone a guy riding a horse so I struggled a lot to find a decent pose for Rosenkreuz from the waist down.

Rosenkreuz and his horse were made in pencil except the hoofs (I didn't like how they turned) and the cape (run out of space in my notebook for it XD). Inking, coloring and the background where done Photoshop CS5 while listening to "Canyon Chase" from the "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron" soundtrack.

By looking at his weapon (a trading card, what else could be?) I just realized something funny:

"They've got 'Card Games on motorcycles'... then why not 'Card Games on horses'?"
